MOGADISHU (HOL) - At least four Somali soldiers were injured Sunday morning following a clash with Djibouti forces serving under AMISOM in Jalalaqsi, Hiiraan region.
Sources in the town told HOL the fight ensued after the two sides clashed over the shutting down of a telecommunications facility in the town.
According to the sources, the Djibouti forces were planning an offensive against Al-Shabaab in the area and wanted to turn off communication ahead of the operation.
The Djibouti forces prevailed over the local security personnel and managed to take control of the area. Normalcy has returned in the town, sources noted.
